Gate admission for all pageants and Baby Show is $5.00 and does not include carnival rides. The carnival will begin on Tuesday, Sept 13, and run through the end of the fair. Gate admission is $10 per person and includes carnival rides and feature event of the night.

Edmonson County Fair Beauty Pageant at 7 p.m.
 

GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ALL AGE DIVISIONS:

The Edmonson County Fair Pageants will be on September 9 and 10 (Friday and Saturday), 2016 at the Edmonson County High School Auditorium. The pageants will begin at 7 p.m. each evening. All pageants are open to all residents of Kentucky. A local winner, state-representative winner, 1st, 2nd & 3rd runner-up will be chosen in the divisions except for Mrs. Edmonson County. Local winners must  be a resident of Edmonson County or must attend school there. The state-representative winner can reside either locally or outside of the county and will represent Edmonson County at the state competition. Dressing rooms will be available for contestants and they will only be allowed one person to assist them in the dressing room.

Friday, September 9 (beginning at 7 p.m.) – Tiny Miss Edmonson County, Little Miss Edmonson County & Mrs. Edmonson County

 Saturday, September 10 (beginning at 7 p.m.) – Miss Pre-Teen Edmonson County, Miss Teen Edmonson County & Miss Edmonson County

 

REGISTRATION: 
Registration will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on the days of the pageants. This will be the only  time to register. We will accept cash or checks. If a contestant wishes to complete their registration form in advance, they are welcome to print the form from our Facebook page and bring it the day of their pageant. There will be no pre-registration or practice.

 

ELIGIBILITY & JUDGING:
A contestant may not compete if they have already won a title from another county fair pageant during this calendar year. A state contestant may only represent one local fair and must represent the first local fair that they win during the calendar year. Previous local winners may compete in the same division again for the state representative title only. The age requirements for
the Preteen division varies slightly from that required at the state level, so please confirm contestant’s eligibility if competing in that group. Out-of-town judges will be selected and every effort will be made to ensure fairness. No score sheets will be shared with contestants and all judge’s decisions are final. Entry fees will not be returned for any reason.

The Edmonson County Fair Parade
is on Friday, September 16th at 9 a.m.

Parade participants should report to a Lions Club Member by 8 a.m. at the Edmonson County High School Parking Lot (220 Wildcat Way, Brownsville, KY 42210). All participants are responsible for providing their own cars, signs and candy.

Saturday, Sept. 24 Friends of Nolin Lake: Lake Clean-up


Come out for the 7th Annual Lakeshore Clean-up Campaign. It is a wonderful opportunity for the whole family to volunteer, make a difference on Nolin Lake and enjoy and promote environmental stewardship in our community.

Participants can show up at Moutardier Ramp, Wax Ramp, Dog Creek Ramp, or Nolin Lake State Park Ramp at 8:00am on Saturday, September 24th and help keep Nolin River Lake beautiful. Bring your pontoon to help transport volunteers along the lake shore. After the clean-up we will have a volunteer appreciation event at Wax that includes music, food and prizes.

Be a Volunteer! Pontoons needed!

Groups (church, boy scout, girl scout, and such) are needed as volunteers!

Come enjoy a beautiful fall day, while helping to preserve the beauty of Nolin Lake.

Halloween Weekend

Always a fun-packed weekend here at Double J.
Trick or treat, hay rides, carriage rides, games and fun prizes for the kids.
Saturday morning starts with breakfast for $5 a plate, then, new this year, a corn hole tournament on Saturday afternoon.
Chili cook off Saturday after the corn hole tournament.
Then a costume party with DJ/Karaoke Saturday night 6:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. with DJ "Here for the Party."
No cover charge. Don't forget your costumes!
